Romanos “Ivok” Kasinopoulos

My name is Romanos

I am the most Experienced and decorated Cypriot League of Legends player with tons of ERL participation and a lot of success in Greek and Cypriot Lan tournaments. I have been Grandmaster since Season 10 and I peaked Challenger in season 12.

I got into competitive in 2020 when it was the first time I hit Grandmaster on Euw and got my first chance in the e-sports scene since then. I Started as a top lane main and switched it to mid lane in early 2023. I’ve hit master+ with all roles besides support because I enjoy all roles and I like the idea of being knowledgeable about all champions/lanes.

After all those years Into the scene I had many interacations with variety of coaches and good players, played tournaments against talented players and worked with many e-sports teams. It helped me become who I am today and I’m really confident on my skill to help other players to reach the level they desire from my coaching and guidance!

– A gamer and also a coach for other gamers? What exactly do you do as a “coach” of video game players? Since many may not be comparable in that sense.
As a video game player coach, my main goal is to provide proper guidance, expand their horizons and most importantly teach them the skill of how to learn on their own by asking and researching with the right mindset.

-What is the benefit of having a coach in Esports?
The gain one can have with a coach who is in the Esports system is that with his experience and knowledge, both as a player and as a coach, he can easily explain a step by step way how to be effective and time efficient, how to become the fastest and best version of yourself and also how not to repeat the mistakes that have already been made.

-Do you think that on a national level compared to other countries in Esports we are ahead or behind the developments? Are you happy with the level and their progress in Greece or is there room for improvement?
What I have to say is that we are a step behind compared to countries like Spain, France, Germany and some other countries around the world. However, in recent years many efforts have been made by many in the Esports sector, with many being successful. If this continues, in a few years we will reach a very good level that many will not believe in the recognition of Esports in Greece.

– Can you give some advice for someone who is just starting out in Esports and would like to turn his hobby into a profession? What are the 3 key points he should look out for?
The advice I would give to someone who is just starting out in Esports and wants to make his hobby his profession is to create an environment and a daily routine that will help him psychologically to stay motivated and also help him to not have too much pressure and stress. The three key points I would say are first, have sources outside of the game for psychological support. You can’t depend only on the game to be happy, especially when you’re trying to play it more professionally. Second, have realistic plans for the future and have a plan B if things don’t work out. This takes away stress not only because you don’t depend on success in Esports, but also in the end it helps you to be more efficient as you have less weight and the last point is to love what you do and have confidence.

-Finally would you like to reveal your future plans, for us your fans?
At the moment, although at the same time I like to help people and do coaching, I am playing in a team in the second division of NLC and playing soloQ to get back to challenger. I plan to prepare myself for the summer, where I will look to join a team from France, Spain or Germany, or maybe also go back to the Greek league.

– Thank you Ivok and we wish you wholeheartedly, good luck!
